Laurel Design is a family owned and run business based in the North East of England.

I started the company a number of years ago with my husband Jeff.

I have always had an inbuilt instinct when it came to colour co-ordination and room design, so after qualifying as an interior designer, I decided to start my own interior design business, and Laurel Design was born.

First and foremost, Laurel Design is an interior design company.  However Laurel Design can offer entire interior design packages.  I only use experienced local tradesmen that I trust, to provide you with the best possible service to create the home interior you want.

 I will organise the decoration, have the curtains made, get the carpet or wood floor fitted, order the furniture, and buy the accessories.

The process begins with an initial meeting when I will come to your home.  If you want the whole house to be given the Laurel Design treatment, or maybe just one room needs that professional touch, or if you want to make your house more saleable.

Whatever your particular need and wishes I will talk to you about exactly what you want: what colours you like; do you already have a style in mind; do you need furniture, accessories, or soft furnishings like curtains or cushions; have you thought about wall paper or paint; maybe you need flooring or lighting?  Have you thought about what look you want to achieve? Antique, period, retro, contemporary?

I will then take your thoughts away and research through the multitude of products available, whether simply paint and fabric, or everything from a new suite to the carpet and curtains.

I will then create mood boards complete with paint charts; fabric swatches, drawings and anything else that will help illustrate my designs.

We then go through the ideas together and choose a design that you are happy with.

Through out my work as an interior designer, I have done so much research into home interior products, furniture and accessories that I have added a new dimension to my website in the shape of a shop facility, which is currently being researched and updated.

Laurel Design aims to offer the whole interior design concept to its customers and this is soon to include flowers. 

In 2007 a range of beautiful silk flowers sourced from the USA where the quality surpasses those available in England will be available to order.

Also new to the website in 2007 will be Laurel Design’s fresh flower delivery service, together with our own candle range.

Of course, your home wouldn’t be complete without a beautiful garden and landscaping is another service
